Baby wrap: Using a simple fabric wrap, you can learn to carry your baby on your back, shoulder, head, hip, freeing your hands to do other things without increasing pressure on your belly. Clear it with your pediatrician and OB first but see wrapyourbaby.Com which has helped my patients and mothers around the world in the past. Good luck.

See below: If you are stessed (being pregnant again can do this), the child can pick up on the stress too. The child may also be going through some separation anxiety which is normal. Try to relax as much as you can and reassure the child gently. If needed to cook, if your kitchen is big, you can make a closed off area where she can sit and play but see you as well, as long as this is safe for all.

Separation anxiety: Sounds like separation anxiety which usually escalates around this age in a normal child. You can try finding distractions for her and place her in a safe area (pack and play, crib, playpen) while you go do what you have to do. Most babies who cry but are not hungry or hurt will be ok if you don't rush to console them immediately. If possible, try to get a friend/ family to help give you a break.
