Depends: Why were you asked to get a physical? Your employer? Your spouse? Is it a routine health status visit? Do you have underlying medical conditions or complaints? Typically the "annual" check up lasts an hour, depending on labs, ekg, etc. Yes, you may bring someone with you.

More info:: What country are you located in? What is the reason for a "medical"? You can always call the office where it is being done and ask if you can bring a friend.
