Not advisable: One shouldn't take antibiotics without first seeing their physician and getting his/her approval and prescription. Many infections are viral and not treatable with antibiotics; and even if it is bacterial and treatable, they always require a medical evaluation because certain bacterial infections are treated with certain antibiotics. Taking inappropriate antibiotics is unhealthy and harmful.

Not recommended : The proper diagnosis, correct antibiotic, how its administered, length of time taken, are all reasons it should be prescribed by a dr.
