Antibodies: A positive herpes igg means you have antibodies to the herpes virus. If you test positive for igg and negative for igm, your herpes infection is probably not recent - i.e. From the past 2 months. The test is not always accurate; if you have never had a herpes infection it could be a false positive, and you should have it repeated.
