Liver disease: Diffuse itchiness without a rash can sometimes he's a symptom of liver disease. If you have dark urine, yellow eyes or abdominal swelling you should certainly see your doctor. It would not be unreasonable to see your doctor anyway to check your liver enzymes.

Itchy skin: There are many causes of total body pruritus - including medications, systemic illness- thyroid, renal or liver diseases. Lymphoproliferative diseases are an infrequent but serious cause of itching. Suggest you see your doctor for a workup.
