How does stress affect the mind and body?

Complex question: Textbooks can be written about such a question. Stress has been related to psychiatric illness such as anxiety and depression, and medical illness such as heart disease and hypertension. Chronic stress can impact the immune system. Poor coping with stress can lead to addiction, conflicted relationship, accidents, etc. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

BRIEF ; GENERAL: Everything is connected to everything else. Chronic pain leads to depression. Depression sometimes connects somehow to heart disease, etc. A balanced life is best for mind and body, and actually examining the stressful thing often shows you how unreasonable it is to worry about it.
