Drowning: River rafting risks can include drowning (especially with whitewater rafting). Some people have suffered from strokes or heart attacks when submerged in cold water. You may hit into or be pinned against rocks, logs or other large objects in the river. Objects in your boat may strike you if you flip. Infections, soft tissues issues, fractures, sprains or strains are possible. Know how to swim.
