High risk water: There's a long list of gastrointestinal illness, including parasitic diseases (amoebiasis, giardiasis), bacterial diseases (shigellosis, salmonellosis), and viral diseases (hepatitis a). Don't drink the water without boiling, adding bleach, or using water purification tablets. You can find guidelines for water purification on the cdc website.

Infection: Parasitic infection should be a concern when drinking from rivers or lakes. I recommend water purification tablets. Stay safe!
