It depends...: ...On the type of injury. To start with try: rice...Rest, ice, compression, and elevation. Otc pain meds should be considered, follow the dose on the bottle. If your need is bad enough and limiting your daily activities or prolonged then you need to see your pcp or and orthopedist. There are many possibilities if it is not getting better with initial conservative treatment. Best of luck.

You have to find the: Reason for it, if it is just from strenuous activity just rest and moist heat and advil (ibuprofen) will take care of it. If something’s else you to see your doctor.
