It depends.: Depends on the type of problem that you have. If you're having kneecap tracking problems, then short arc squats may be helpful. If you have structural damage in the knee, the squats may not be so good. You should see a sports medicine orthopedic knee specialist, who can give you an accurate diagnosis, and then prescribe the correct exercise regimen.

Partial squat: Deep squats may cause inc pain. Don't squat too deep.
