How do you know if you have kidney stones?

Pain, lots of it.: Usually kidney stones are pretty painful. You'll get one-sided flank pain that comes in waves. Also nausea. The pain can move into your belly and down your abdomen. You might notice your urine is a different color - brown or red. That's from the blood caused by the irritation of the stone. If you think you might have one, you should see your family doctor. Good luck! drink lots of fluids!
