Yes-but: It is a vald indication but you could attempt a frenuloplasty. It is where you release the band in a way to have less tension on it.

No it isn't: In most cases a frenuloplasty will take care of the problem. Basically the frenulum is divided transversely ; sutured vertically. This moinor procedure can be performed under local anesthesia in the office. Local anesthetix cream can first be applied 30 - 40 minutes before local anesthetic needle is painlessly inserted. Or as a day-surgery procedure under general anesthesia.
