What are the reasons for prolonged period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many many answers: Polyps, fibroids, hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, vaginal or cervical diseases are just some of the possible reasons for prolonged bleeding. A normal cycle may last for 7 days, and you may occasionally have an abnormal flow or a change of flow, but if your periods are usually longer than 7 days or you have a very prolonged flow, you might want to see a gynecologist.
