Yes: Guafenesin (plain mucinex) is safe with synthroid( most common thyroid replacement med). Beware of Mucinex (guaifenesin) with decongestant mixed in.

Mucinex (guaifenesin): Plain Mucinex (guaifenesin) may be ok but Mucinex d (includes pseudoephedrine) should not be used by those with (hyper)thyroidism, hypertension, diabetes, & many other medical conditions. Ask your doc or pharmacist what options are available for your case.

Yes but . . . : There are different combinations of Mucinex (guaifenesin) with other drugs out there. I had to read the labels myself to see when they were concerned. You should seek assistance from a doctor if you are going to take Mucinex (guaifenesin) d. This has a decongestant that can exacerbate your thyroid condition. However Mucinex (guaifenesin) by itself should not cause you any trouble.
