Not to worry: This is a type of eczema. Have him try to rub in 1% Hydrocortisone cream 2 times each day. In addition, whenever he baths and the area is soaking wet, while still wet, rub in vasaline petroleum jelly for 30 seconds then towel dry. This condition is most likely chronic and will always come back. But if you do the above treatments, he should do well when it occurs.
