Can your spinal headaches last months?

Not usually: If you mean a post spinal tap headache, typically will depart within 4-6 weeks at most if no treatment, such as a blood patch is done. If you truly do have a persistent postural headache for months, that would confirm a chronic spinal fluid leak and need to get this reversed (however, this would be unusual). Maybe the headaches are migraine in origin. See your doctor and get this fixed.

Maybe: In order to find out the reason for the headache you need to see your doctor. A spinal headache (post-dural puncture headache) lasts typically for few days, therefore anything lasting longer needs attention from your doctor.

There would be no: Reason to have a spinal headache over a few weeks, a blood patch or two almost always cure. If the headache is postural get a blood patch. If associated with other symptoms get treated immediately
