Maybe: Headache is common after a spinal tap, and is classically worse with sitting or standing up and better with lying down. While post-tap headache usually improves with time, fluids, and caffeine, it sometimes requires a procedure known as a blood patch to make it go away.

Common reaction: Very common after lumbar puncture. Should go away but it is not a bad idea to go back to your doctor and get re-evaluated.
