More information?: There are alot of things that could have happened. There may be a fracture of the nose or the sinuses or a laceration of the mucosa upon initial trauma. Treatment would depend on the problem. Maybe there is no treatment. If the problem continues he should see a physician.

Injury: For head trauma, it is important to undergo evaluation with xray and ct. If these tests show no fracture, or bleeding in or around the brain, he should recover well.
