Check ribs: If there is pain when you press on the ribs under your breast, it is likely intercoatal neuralgia. This can be a sharp, burning or stabbing pain that radiates from the front to the back . Need more info: There can be several causes of the pain you describe including gall bladder, pancreas, heart, kidney and liver. You mentioned a scan but again there are several which look at different things. Some of these things can be serious. I would see a doctor as soon as you can. Sometimes it can take more than one visit to figure a problem out.
