A doctor has provided 1 answer

Part of infection: One of the responses body has to infections is to raise the temperature. To do that body often reduces blood flow to periphery and induce shivering both of which cause a feeling of being cold. Taking an antipyretic like Acetaminophen or Aspirin may help. Drinking warm liquids will help too.
