Cough : Some illnesses can cause a bronchitis-like cough that occasionally needs steroids like prednisone. Other possibilities include allergies and acid reflux.

Many possible reason: There are many possible reasons for a cough in the scenario you describe. Your primary care provider is a good starting point to treat the problem. You may also need to see other specialists, such as an otolaryngologist (ent), pulmonologist (lung doctor), and/or allergy specialist.

I enjoy sleeping with a body pillow, will that worsen my neck pain during pregnancy?

No: I often recommend that pregnant patients sleep with a body pillow as it can help relieve low back pain in pregnancy. Consider a buckwheat stuffed head pillow or foam head pillow if you find you are not getting proper neck support.

Do all thyroid nodules require a fine needle aspiration biopsy?

Dr. Susan Wingo
Endocrinology 33 years experience
No: Nodules less than 0.8 CM generally do not need further evaluation with fna (fine needle aspiration). Nodules 1.5 CM or greater should usually be checked with an fna. For intermediate nodules, those between 0.8 and 1.5 cm, a doctor may consider the appearance of the nodule, and other risk factors in deciding whether or not to recommend an fna.

A 19-year-old female asked:

I have puss on tonceles and large bumps on back of tongue and throat but don't hurt. Do u know what could be wrong?

Probably normal: If you do not have pain and no fever then this may be normal. All of our tongues have bumps on the back of them and just maybe you never noticed them. The tonsils can collect debris and dead cells that slough off and these can collect as small white plugs in the tonsil itself. If there is no pain it is unlikely that you have an infection.
