When to take hight blood pressure meds?

Before bed: Since most cardiac events occur in the early morning hours due to blood pressure spikes at this time most physicians recommend blood pressure meds to be taken right before bedtime.

Depending on med: If you are given once a day med, typically they should work 24hrs, if you are given twice a day med try to take 12 hrs apart. Lot of times BP rises early am , and increase risk of cardiac events in early am. If it i sonce a day med, i recommend to take it at night, before going to bed, so it will peak early am and prevent early am rise of bp.
