Opinions differ: I would wait a couple of days as it might be quite tender. While the epsom salt will not hurt the newly circumcised penis, it may irritate it. I usually give it about 4 days. Opinions on this will vary. The physician who did the circumcision may give you more insight.

Why epsom salt bath?: Suggest you follow the surgeon's advice. I usually advise to sponge bathe 4 about 3 days after cicumcision surgery. Then shower. This is easy for older children to do, babies and toddlers can be held in shower by a parent..
