Thyroid?: Check with your endocrinologist on status of your thyroid. Wondering if medication adjustment is warranted.

Take a step back: Many things can cause awakenings: 1) the environment you sleep in [too much light and sound?], 2) movements from your bed partner, 3) anxiety, 4) depression, 5) needing to urinate in the middle of the night. A good psychiatry consultation can help.

Multiple Things: Insomnia can be tricky. Anxiety and low thyroid can effect your sleep cycle. Make sure both are well controlled. Sleep hygiene is also an important factor to consider and make sure you have good hygiene practices. I use a sleep diary and manipulation of sleep schedules to condense sleep and reset the sleep cycle. Speak to a sleep specialist for help
