I have an ovarian cyst & it's causing a lot of pain. motrin isnt cutting it. any other ways to relieve pain & how long does it take to go away?

Depends: There are many types of cysts, from large simple cysts to small follicular cysts to complex, heavy cysts. Birth control pills trick the brain into not stimulating the ovaries, thus less cyst formation and likely improvement in pain. If small they can resorb in time, add tylenol (acetaminophen) 2 500 mg 4 times a day and use 2 aleve 2x per day, might work better tham motrin, good luck.
