Infertility/no fault: Just like "no fault" car insurance, no one is blamed for the "crash" and both get their cars fixed. Sometimes everything is normal in a workup male & female, yet no pregnancy!. Fertility is a function of two people together, and you could mate with "sammy stud" and get pregnant, and he in turn with "fertile myrtle" and do the same. Get a 2nd opinion from a fertility gyn and urologist to be sure.

Low chances: If you have been trying to conceive actively for 2 years, your chances of becoming pregnant at age 40 are very low. If you have regular periods, you are likely non ovulating. As women get more mature this can happen more frequently. Nevertheless, I have seen miracles happen.

Fertility Clinic: I am not sure what kind of work up you have had done, but from personal experience from my wife and i, we would suggest calling ccrm in colorado and talking to dr. Schoolcraft. He does free 30 minute phone consults if you send him all your work up. He is very good and honest. Your age unfortunately puts you at a disadvantage but it is definitely worth a shot!
