Post dural HA?: Ha after a LP can be common, and may be related to a condition know as post dural puncture ha (often worsens with sitting up/standing, and improves somewhat with lying)hydration and caffeine are often used to treat this, but some cases may require an epidural blood patch(mildly invasive procedure). Let your physician know about symptoms& get formal evaluation to make sure there isn't other cause.

Post dural headache: From your description you more than likely have developed a post dural puncture headache. In short after getting your lumbar puncture(lp) the dural that was penetrated to collect spinal fluid for testing did not seal back up. This will ultimately resolve on it's own or if the symptoms become more severe you would require an epidural blood patch to resolve this instantly.
