Spasm?: I am not clear as to what you mean by "spasm". If you are having muscular pain or spasms in your neck, this is not related to your carotid artery and is not an emergency. See your family doctor if that is the case. If you are having transient ischemic attacks (tias), you need to go to the emergency room.
