Try therapy: After 6 years, the likelihood of it going away by itself is pretty low. However, pt/rehab may still be able to help.

Maybe not: Some transverse myelitis symptoms linger due to permanent nerve damage. Consult your neurologist for more diagnostic testing to determine extent of permanent injury.
