A member asked:

What is "demand mi"?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Demand MI: Demand ischemia is the idea that at times the heart muscle can need more blood flow than it can receive due to blockages in the coronary arteries during episdoes of rapid heart rate. The demand for blood/oxygen is greater than the supply. If this went on long enough there could theorecially be damage to the heart muscle, a myocardial infarction or "mi".
