Depends on type: Some cancers are due to things under our control, such as excess sun exposure or smoking. We can decrease the chance of getting some types of cancers by our choices. If a cancer is already started, there can always be little pieces of it that are too small to be visible now, so you will need to check regularly with your cancer doctor who can, at least, spot a new growth as soon as possible.

Depends: The best way to reduce your risk of cancer returning is to get the best treatment, and completing the entire prescribed course. Close follow up after cancer treatment is essential. Certain complementary therapies and lifestyle changes may help to reduce your risk of recurrence. Learn more about this here: www.Integrativeoncology-essentials.Com.
