Cool compress, : Cool compress may help, if wound is infected you should apply topical antibiotics. Ask you pcp about this. Also, taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Atarax sometimes help decrease the itch sensation.

Superfast healing: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover it with a clean dressing changed every other day and protect from trauma. Ice injures healing tissues, bad idea as is scratching. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may help.
