A member asked:

Why is it that you sometimes get heartburn after eating pickled veggies, even though natural stomach acid should be a much stronger acid than vinegar?

Type of food : It's not so much the acid in vinegar but the type of food that increases stomach acid production and causes heartburn. For example lime is acidic but does not cause heartburn in most.
