5 months old baby fontanelle slightly sunk. no dry skin or lips. should i be worried?

?Position?: The fontanelle will often appear flat or down if the kid is held upright but will balloon outward when lying down. It reflects fluid pressure within the waterworks supporting the brain. If the kid is drinking well & wetting a diaper every 6 hours or more i would not worry about it.

Probably not but...: Likely no worry as long as the baby is drinking well and making wet diapers (at least one every 8 hours). But if any other concerns, then please get baby checked.

Not necessarily: I agree that it depends on the baby's position (laying down or sitting up). Another thing to watch for is how your baby is acting. If he/she is smiling, playful and interacting well with you, then that is a good sign. If your baby is lethargic or inconsolable, you should get him/her checked immediately.
