Zayan has small anterior fontanelle. i was overseas when he was 3months and noticed his flat head and saw the craniofacial dr there. he had me get his head ct scan. report was ok. but i am very worried about ct's worse effects in kids. please advise?

I don't consider a single CT scan on an infant a significant risk of anything.

It is best to minimize radiation exposure, however, to evaluate the skull, a CT is the best study. The alternative of not testing is not available to you, but you certainly can not test any further. CTs are done when necessary, and asking the necessity of any test is reasonable. Children with cancers may have many CT scans because they are necessary in care. Baby Zayan will be OK.
