Advance directive: Once considered avant-garde and/or illegal, these now give a person the power to direct what health care they do and do not want under particular circumstances when they cannot speak for themselves. Unless you are sure that you want to put your relatives on the spot in the most difficult situations, it's a good idea to have an advance directive.

Directives: A living will is a health care document that designates and directs someone to make the decision for you when you can not with regards to serous health conditions. It discusses resuscitation efforts, feeding tubes, ventilators and often comfort measures at the end of life.Choose someone you trust will make the decision you want not what their emotions dictate.
