TRAM Flap: Transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap is often utilized to reconstruct one or two breasts while also reducing the size of the patient's redundant abdominal tissue. The skin is cut with a horizontally oriented ellipse and remains attached to the lower end of the rectus abdominis muscle which is flipped up to carry blood supply to the skin which is used to reconstruct the breast.
