See below: A Dopamine agonist is a chemical which works on Dopamine receptors. There are 5 different kinds of Dopamine receptors in the brain. Medications which work as Dopamine agonists are commonly used in conditions such as parkinson's disease, restless legs syndrome, depression, and psychosis.

Parkinson's drug: Dopamine agonists work in a similar fashion to true Dopamine to maintain function in the basal ganglia in parkinson's disease, but also may help restless leg syndrome pts. The class includes requip, mirapex, Neupro (rotigotine) patch.
