A doctor has provided 1 answer

Treat botulism: Botulism is a serious disease usually caused by ingestion of the c.Botulinum bacteria. It is very rare and caused by eating canned foods that are not handled well (very rare in commercial canned items that are intact-no dings or bends). Botulinum antitoxin is used for the treatment of botulism. It contains antibodies to the known botulinum toxins that are responsible for the symptoms.
