TETANUS TOXOID: Tetanus toxoid is a vaccine produced by inactivating the exotoxin secreted by the tetanus bacterium, losing its toxicity but retaining its ability to combine with or stimulate the production of an antitoxin, when injected into the human body. This antitoxin can kill any live tetanus bacteria that enters the body preventing the disease called tetanus. This process is called immunization.
