Ligament sprain: Is a ligament injury. Ligaments attach bone to bone and frequently stabilize joints however they also stabilize groups of bone to each other even when there is no joint such as in the wrist, foot or pelvis. A sprain is a stretch or tear of a ligament. Typically there are three types grade 1 a stretch , 2 a partial tear and 3 a complete tear. Dont use "just a sprain" for negative x-rays.
