Anticoagulant...: Plavix (clopidogrel) is a chemical that inhibits part of the cascade of clotting by its activity on platelets like aspirin). It is used after a heart attack often, and particularly when coronary arteries are revascularized (stent/bypass). Main side effect (aside from allergic reaction) is abnormal internal bleeding, from the gut, the kidney, the brain. Warning signs are extremely important to discuss with doc.
