Is it possible for shortness of breath to be a side effect of 10 mg of effient and can plavix (clopidogrel) do the same thing..effient cost is ridiculous?

No: Neither Effient nor Plavix cause shortness of breath. An evaluation for this, if not already done, should include: cbc, bnp, bmp, tsh, ddimer, cxr, echo, stress test, ekg, pfts and oximetry at a minimum. Ask your doc about these tests. The price of Effient 10 mg is $215 for 1 month. The price of clopidogrel (generic plavix) is $213 for 1 month. If you can find it for less, more power to you!
