Solar Plexus: The celiac plexus is also called the solar plexus. It is a complex network of nerves located in the abdomen, where the celiac artery, superior mesenteric artery, and renal arteries branch from the abdominal aorta. This network of nerves is formed by the splanchnic nerves and the right vagus nerve and comprises the portion of the autonomic nervous system that "operates" the abdominal organs.
