The sooner the bette: I think, sooner is better- as long as you are up to it. Discuss with your surgeon about what kind of procedure you will need to get-partial/total? How they would do it? Possible side effects , how long the recovery time etc. You need to be ready emotionally and physcially off course. But again, i think, the sooner you get rid of the cancer the better your feeling will be. Take care and good luck.

Soon: You do not have to rush, but why put it off? I would find a time that is mutually convenient with you and your surgeon. With an experienced surgeon, your recovery should be short.
