Possibly: A lot of people have mood swings, but if you feel like yours are more dramatic than others, and especially if you have a family history of bipolar, it's a good idea to be evaluated by a psychologist or doctor.

Maybe: It depends what you mean about "occasionally manic." mania refers to a discreet set of signs and symptoms which need to be present for at lease one week. It would not really be possible for us here to make an accurate diagnosis of bipolar disorder. What you could probably use is a psychiatric evaluation by a board certified psychiatrist, who should be able to provide you with some good answers.
