Read below: The burning pain is usually caused by some type of nerve irritation or damage. This could also be caused by poor circulation or excessive swelling to the foot. It is time to consult your podiatrist for a mor definitive diagnosis.

Think nerve: Burning in the heel with and without weight might include a local nerve irritation, such as tarsal tunnel. It might also represent neuropathy from inflammatory arthritis, diabetes, or thyroid issues, or referred pain from the back. Talk to your doctor to help get this all sorted out.
