Many things: Many things can contribute to a white coating on the tongue. We frequently see this with nasal conditions that cause one to breath through the mouth. Other common causes include thrush and geographic tongue. Consider using a tongue scraper to remove the coating. You should see you doctor for an accurate diagnosis.
