Could!: High sugar shock to the pancreas have been shown to increase the rate of diabetes as seen with sodas. Try to curtail you intake into less frequently and also less volume with each "binge" of the yummy chocolate!

Diabetes: Generally diabetes or glucose intolerance develops in later life. But if you are prone for diabetes, like strong family history, you are more likely to develop at an earlier age. I understand you are fond of sweet things, they are carbs and have lot of calories, and in the long run fat accumulates in the body and your Insulin reserves may go down.
