No lasting damage: Those wavelengths will not cause retinal damage unless in laser light.

Best to see doc: Have ophthalmologist examine child's eyes for damage. Led's are becoming stronger & stronger. According to the experts at leds magazine, "…leds cause a thermal heating effect in proportion to the power density of the radiation, which can result in tissue damage to the retina. Shorter wavelength radiation causes a photochemical effect in the retina, changing the chemistry of the cells.".

Not likely: Several years back there was a big question about laser pointers! they did a study on subjects that needed to have their eyes removed due to cancer. The pointed the laser pointer directly to the center of their vision. On pathology, no damage was noted. It is all about intensity and duration! looking directly at the sun or an eclipse will damage the eye. Leds may do the same.
